No one is coming. Sounds kinda negative at first, but that thought has gotten me out of some tough times. When things get difficult, it is easy to give up and wish for a friend, girlfriend, relative, stranger or even luck to sweep in and show you the quick way out of pain or suffering. It’s just as easy to get into the habit of running away from the bad by escaping into alcohol, movies, music or anything that can pull you away from the present moment.
Try to bury things in the past and they will continue to grow like a monster waiting in your closet. Bring them out into the sunlight, and you’ll realize they aren’t that scary. And a good way to face the bad is to remember that you’re only waiting on yourself. Nobody can free you from the tyranny of your own thoughts but yourself, and it’s easier than you think.
You don’t have to be alone, but you are enough, and that’s a good thing, because no one is coming.
